1 x Small Ficus Tineke Grown From Cutting Ficus Tineke, also known as the Variegated Rubber Plant, is an exotic and aesthetically appealing indoor plant known for its attractive foliage. It showcases stunning green leaves with contrasting white to cream margins, which become more pronounced as the plant matures. Native to Australia, this unique plant adds a splash of tropical charm to any room. The Variegated Rubber Plant can reach up to 2 metres tall if given the right conditions and care.  Alternative Names:  Ficus Tineke is commonly known by various other names such as Variegated Rubber Fig, Ficus Elastica 'Tineke', Rubber Bush, or Indian Rubber Bush.  Care Guide:  Ficus Tineke requires specific conditions to thrive. These plants prefer bright, indirect light. They can tolerate some morning sun but should be shielded from strong afternoon rays which could scorch their leaves. Ficus Tineke appreciates a well-draining soil mix to avoid root rot, and prefers to dry out somewhat between watering. Overwatering can lead to leaf yellowing or drop. During warmer months, water your plant weekly or when the top 2-3cm of soil feels dry, and reduce watering in cooler months.  It thrives in temperatures between 15 and 24 degrees Celsius and enjoys high humidity, so it’s a good idea to mist the leaves during hotter periods or keep it in a naturally humid room like the bathroom. Lastly, feed it with a diluted balanced liquid fertiliser during its growing season, generally in spring and summer. As the Ficus Tineke is prone to pests such as mealybugs, regularly inspect its leaves for signs of infestation. Dusting and wiping down its leaves can prevent disease and boost the plant's overall health.
