Product Description
The Jade, or Elephant's Bush plant, also goes by a variety of other names, including Jade Plant, Money Tree, and Dwarf Rubber Plant. In Australia, it is popularly known as Money Plant or Dollar Plant due to the coin-like shape and bright green colour of its leaves.
Jade is a succulent plant, thriving in dry, well-drained soil environments. Its optimum growing zones are in areas with a climate similar to its native home of South Africa, though it adapts well to indoor conditions, making it a popular houseplant worldwide. It prefers bright light, but it can also tolerate semi-shade conditions. A unique trait of Jade plants is that they require less water in the winter months than in the summer. Despite their hardy nature, they are susceptible to overwatering, which can cause root rot. Regular trimming can keep the plant healthy and ensure a more bushy growth. In terms of space, Jade plants are relatively small and don't require a lot of room to grow, making them suitable for both container and garden planting. The plants typically grow between 2 to 4 feet tall, though some have been known to reach up to 5 feet in height when given proper care. They spread around 2 to 3 feet.
